In My Mailbox #16

IMM is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren in which bloggers are able to show off what books they received. If you want to learn more, you can read about it here.

Woah, okay, so I got a ton of books this week. :D I told myself I wasn't going to get anymore, but I bought most of them super cheap from Goodwill and Half-Price Bookstore, so I really just couldn't pass any of them up. I just hope I actually have enough time to read them all. D:

Library:
Supernaturally by Kiersten White
13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Wither by Lauren DeStefano
Red Glove by Holly Black
Passion by Lauren Kate
Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan

And here are some library ebooks that I downloaded on my Kindle:
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
The Otherworldlies by Jennifer Anne Kogler

I bought these from Goodwill.. The majority of them were only $1! I've actually read Pretty Tough and Playing with the Boys before, but I figured I might as well buy them so I can reread them. :)

Marley & Me by John Grogan
Playing with the Boys by Liz Tigelaar
Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar
Pretty Tough by Liz Tigelaar
Lush by Natasha Friend
Switch by Carol Snow
The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke

And finally, I've bought 2 books at HPB that I've just been dying to read.

Saving June by Hannah Harrington
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

So what did you get this week? Leave a link to your own post in the comments, and I'll be sure to drop by!

  6. Libraries are awesome, right ? I was surprised to learn most libraries get new release the same day they come out if not a week later ! It's a great money save. I love a good library haul !

I'm actually reading Across the Universe now and really enjoying it. I liked Glow as well, it was certainly different. You picked up some great looking books from Goodwill too, I love book shopping there but they never look as nice as the ones you got.

  18. We have the same problem, I can not seem to pass up book bargains - we have a really great book bargain shop here in singapore, and I find myself drawn back to the place on a weekly basis! Bad, I know. But how can you possibly resist award-winning 1 dollar books???! :) You have nice titles here. I am particularly interested in Holly Black's book as well as Wither by Lauren de Stefano. I also have Cornelia Funke's Thief Lord for the longest time, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. Have fun with your new reads!

    1. $1 is an amazing price for a book! I don't think I can pass up any books that's only a buck. xD And I just finished Wither, and it was actually pretty good, except there was kind of a lack of action but whatever. :)

  19. Wow your library is awesome! My sucks and smells like old lady -_- I'm so not lying, BTW. I wish I had a Half Priced Bookstore around where I live! There's one by where my mom lives but... I'd have to go out of state to get there lol! Happy reading!

  21. Oh, I'm jealous - our library hardly has any cool books like that!
I hope you enjoy 13 little blue envelopes, I loved it. It's super fun :) Across the Universe is great too, I really want to read A Million Suns.

Anna and the French Kiss is one of my absolute favourites! <3

  22. Geez, that is a haul! So many good ones too! I just finished Anna and the French Kiss this week and agree, it is a great contemp.

I loved The Maze Runner, and am so excited to see The Thief Lord! I wasn't into the blogosphere back when I read this book, so I don't know how much coverage it got, but I loved it and think it totally deserves some shout outs. Personally, I liked it better than Conelia Funke's Inkheart. Hope you enjoy!

  23. Man, I wish my library had so many cool books! We have a teeny tiny YA section, with only like five new releases every year. I really should pick up Holly Black's books, I've heard so many great things about it.

I hope you enjoy all your books, happy reading!
